Dave graduated
from St. Peters College (Jersey City, NJ) in 1977. With the exception
of six months in industry as an internal auditor, he has devoted his entire
career to public accounting. The majority of his career was with a small
firm where he was a partner for 11 years and now with the present firm
of six employees since 1994. In addition to being a licensed CPA (NJ,
NY and NC), Dave is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). The
CVA credential is awarded by the National Association of Certified
Valuation Analysts.
Daves
leadership in the accounting profession led him to be elected to the governing
council of the AICPA. Other past service to the profession includes serving
on the AICPA Management of an Accounting Practice Committee, Small Firm
Advocacy Committee (National Chair) and being an original member of the
AICPA Group of 100. He is active in the NJ CPA Societys valuation
and taxation interest groups, is a past chair of the NJSCPA Political
Action Committee and past president of the Passaic County Chapter of the
NJSCPA. He is a member of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Association
of Certified Valuation Analysts, actively participating in continuing
education programs. He is active in several business groups in the Hillsborough/Chapel
Hill/Orange County, NC area.
Dave has
been a speaker and panelist at several AICPA and state society conferences.
His presentations have covered a variety of topics including the AICPAs
highly acclaimed Small Firm of the Year 2000. For several years
he has facilitated the PCPS Small Firm Practitioners Roundtable
at the annual AICPA National Practitioners Symposium. His recent presentations
include Leveraging Specialties and Niche Services in a Small CPA Firm,
Perspectives on Business Valuation and Tax Aspects of Valuations.

Darren

Darren graduated
from Fairleigh Dickinson University (Madison, NJ) in 1992. His career
has been entirely devoted to working in public accounting. He had been
associated with the firm for seven years prior to becoming a member and
worked for three years as a supervisor at one of the largest medium size
accounting firms in New Jersey.
In addition
to being a licensed CPA (NJ), Darren has earned the designation as Certified
Fraud Examiner (CFE) by the Association of Certified Fraud
Examiners.
He is a member
of the AICPA, NJSCPA and ACFE and serves on committees for the NJSCPA
and the Morris/Sussex Chapter of the NJSCPA.
Darren is
currently the president of the Morris/Sussex Chapter of the NJSCPA. He
has also served the Chapter as the continuing education chair. His NJSCPA
service includes the non-profit interest group and the steering committee
for the Annual Nonprofit Conference.
